About Me
Created Tuesday 30 July 2024
I go by Sylvia. It is nice to meet you.
I am 22 years old, and I am a 2024 graduate from UMass Amherst with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Chinese.
I've been programming since a rather young age, and I like low level programming the most. I also enjoy solving problems and reverse engineering. I have some experience with Mandarin, though I am by no means a fluent speaker. Some other interests include anime, books, and Chinese cooking.
In this blog, I intend to post about various ideas I find interesting and cool things in programming that I want to share.
I can use the following languages:
- C
- Zig
- C++
- Rust
- x86-64, aarch64, RISC-V assembly
- Java
- Python
- C#
- JavaScript
- Kotlin
Various projects you can find on my Github:
- zigmcp: A Minecraft protocol implementation in Zig.
- zig-mc-server: A very bare Minecraft server using zigmcp in Zig.
- chineseassistant: Static web app using Zig and WebAssembly for finding the definitions of words in some Chinese text, meant to help with reading Chinese.
- zigpge: Partial port of olcPixelGameEngine to Zig.
- tdcaster: Simple real-time raycaster with versions in C++, Rust, and Zig using a grid traversal algorithm.
- extrapacked: Small Zig library for packing various Zig types into integers.
- zig-uxnasm: Zig port of the Uxn assembler.
- uxnzig: Zig port of the Uxn emulator.
- compasstracker: Minecraft Spigot plugin for tracking the locations of players, in Kotlin.
- splinter-proxy: Minecraft proxy in Rust that I contributed to, left off as a proof of concept of server switching in Minecraft with no loading/dimension change screen.
Currently, I'm open for opportunities to work.
